Input Modes

Echophrase offers different modes to match your workflow.

Push-to-Talk (Default)

Press your hotkey to start recording, then press it again to stop and transcribe. Best for: Quick voice inputs, commands, short messages

Open Mic

Echophrase listens continuously and transcribes each utterance automatically after a configurable pause in speech (the silence timeout, 2-10 seconds). Best for: Longer dictation, hands-free operation

2. Navigate to Audio Input
3. Select Push-to-Talk or Open Mic
