- Check that your microphone is selected in Settings → Audio
- Ensure Echophrase has microphone permissions
- Try speaking louder or closer to the mic

- Open Settings → Language
- Set your preferred language explicitly
- Disable auto-detect if it’s causing issues
Transcription is slow
Transcription is slow
- Try the smaller Parakeet Lite model
- Confirm GPU acceleration is active in Settings → GPU Acceleration (DirectML on Windows, Metal on Apple Silicon)
- Close other resource-intensive applications

- Try running as administrator (Windows)
